Born in Hull, Brandon Lawrence joined Birmingham Royal Ballet on graduation from the Royal Ballet School 12 years ago and moved swiftly up the ranks to become a principal in 2019. However, he is now bidding BRB farewell and will be joining Ballett Zurich next season.

He gave his farewell performance with BRB on 10 June, dancing in all three of the ballets on the programme.
