DX CHOREOGRAPHY AWARD SPRING 2018
The DX Choreography Award Spring 2018 aims to support artists at an early stage of their professional choreographic career and is an annual programme for artists with the ambition to grow and further develop their choreographic practice. It supports up to eight dance artists each year who are living or working in the Midlands. Two callouts each year enable successful applicants to incorporate the dx Choreography Award into their project development. For this call out, applications should be for outdoor or site-specific work in addition to indoor work, with potential opportunities to present the work as part of International Dance Festival Birmingham 1-24 June 2018. The deadline for applications for artists interested in developing their work during January – June 2018 is Monday 6 November 2017, 5pm. CLASSICAL / NEOCLASSICAL YOUNG CHOREOGRAPHERS' COMPETITION - Second Edition
The Opéra National de Bordeaux and the CCN Malandain Ballet Biarritz, members of the Greater South West's Centre for Choreographic Cooperation) and the CCN / Ballet de l'Opéra national du Rhin, with the support of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, present the second edition of the Classical / Neoclassical Young Choreographers' Competition. The public finale will take place on 27 May 2018 in the Bordeaux Grand-Théâtre. This competition will award: Two creation residencies in these two ballet companies: Ballet de l'Opéra National de Bordeaux and CCN/Ballet de l'Opéra national du Rhin. The pieces created during the residencies will be presented to the public. The support of the laureates will be maintained over time; Biarritz Prize / Caisse des Dépôts et Consignation: €15.000; Audience's Award / Fondation de la Danse: € 3.000; Critic's Award: € 3.000. In order to apply, candidates from a European Member State or a Schengen Convention Member State shall submit a video of a choreography they created (for 3 to 6 dancers), a letter of intention and their CV on the website: http://www.concours-de-jeunes-choregraphes.com. Application deadline: 17 December 2017 before midnight.


TANZPLATTFORM BERN 
International dance festival and competition for choreographers
Tanzcompagnie Konzert Theater Bern and its director Estefania Miranda are pleased to announce a call for applications. Jury award: commission for Tanzcompagnie Konzert Theater Bern in season 2018.19 Audience award: grant of CHF 3000. Requirements: CV of the choreographer max. 1 page, PDF, in English with photo and complete contact details; one video link to the dance piece to be submitted duration: min. 10 minutes, max. 30 minutes, max. 6 performers. Please confirm your availability to perform the submitted piece during the Tanzplattform Bern between 14th and 16th June 2018. The chosen choreographers will be invited to perform the submitted dance pieces in Bern and will obtain a performance fee, travel costs and accommodation. YOUTH AMERICA GRAND PRIX - PARIS & BARCELONA 
Youth America Grand Prix – the international ballet competition has two European semi-finals this year. The first is in Paris from 9 – 12 November 2017 and the second will be held in Barcelona for the first time from 8 – 10 December 2017. Semi-finals are also held in Brazil, South Korea, China, Australia, Japan, Mexico and throughout the US, and the New York finals will be held from 12 – 20 April 2018. THE NEW YORK CHOREOGRAPHIC INSTITUTE The New York Choreographic Institute, established to provide opportunities for emerging and experienced classically trained choreographers, is accepting applications for its Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 Sessions. SOLO-DANCE-THEATRE FESTIVAL STUTTGART 22nd International Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival Stuttgart – applications are now invited and will be accepted up until 11 November 2017. CHOREOGRAPHERS OBSERVERSHIP PROGRAMME SCOTLAND 
The Choreographers Observership Programme Scotland enables choreographers to observe another choreographer of their choice at work between October 2017 and June 2018. The choreographer being observed receives a modest honorarium of £300 for their time and to open their practice for up to two sessions.
