Applications are now open for the 28th edition of Resolution, the contemporary dance festival hosted by The Place. Over 70 artists, selected from different backgrounds, styles and experiences - from contemporary, to hip hop, to immersive dance theatre and circus, will be invited to participate in the festival, which will take place in January and February 2018. To be considered, complete the online application form and supply links to video footage at www.theplace.org.uk/resolution-2018. The closing date is 7 September 2017.

Pina Bausch Fellowship 2018 - applications are invited up until 15 September 2017 at fellowship.pinabausch.org.  NB The Pina Bausch Fellowship is not a project fund, nor is it aimed at the development of new pieces. Each fellowship can take a minimum of three months and no longer than six months. It includes a monthly allowance of 2.500 Euros and one-time travel expenses. Up to four fellowships are granted each year. The Fellowship is promoted internationally. It has no age-restrictions and aims at single artists from the fields of dance and choreography (dancers and choreographers). They can apply if they meet the personal requirements. APPLY HERE

Each year the Aerowaves network selects 20 of the most promising emerging choreographers, promotes their work, and creates performance opportunities with Aerowaves' Partners. Choreographers based in geographical Europe, are invited to apply to Aerowaves and get a chance to have their work programmed by the partners of the network, whether or not they are selected as Aerowaves artists. Around 100 performance opportunities are guaranteed by the partners and supported by Aerowaves each year. Applicants may be selected to perform their work at the Spring Forward Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria from 23-25 March 2018. At least 15 of the current Aerowaves Twenty artists participaye the festival each year. Applications are now open and will close at midnight on 12 September 2017. APPLY HERE.

One Dance UK is inviting applications for its 2017 Scottish mentoring programme. This programme is offered to dance artists and practitioners who live and work in Scotland and have been identified as future industry leaders. The programme offers dance artists the opportunity of preparing for a career beyond performing by benefiting from the wisdom, experience and industry insights of a mentor. Applicants, nominated by their peers, must either be independent dance artists who hold One Dance UK membership, or be dancers working as part of a One Dance UK member company and, in addition, have had at least eight years professional dance experience. Each successful applicant will receive a bursary to cover travel and other necessary expenses. The deadline for receipt of nominations and applications is 24 September 2017 at 23:59 hours. The Choreographers Observership Programme Scotland enables choreographers to observe another choreographer of their choice at work between October 2017 and June 2018. The choreographer being observed receives a modest honorarium of £300 for their time and to open their practice for up to two sessions.
