Specialist Senior Vocational Russian Ballet Teacher of Female Technique

London Russian Ballet School is looking for a Russian trained classical ballet dancer who is a qualified specialist teacher in the Professional Russian ballet syllabus for the female technique. The candidate will be able to teach female students repertoire and to coach for roles on the stage. The individual will be required to prepare candidates for annual examinations before highly regarded individuals of the Russian Ballet world, following the Russian syllabus. The candidate will also assist in the preparation of the younger students for outreach performance work. The candidate must have qualifications at the highest level from one of the major Russian schools. The candidate will have danced the major classical and Soviet roles on the Russian stage and will have trained with highly regarded teachers. Teaching experience is essential for this position. The candidate should have a further degree in the teaching of the Russian system of classical ballet and a profound knowledge of the theatre arts. The candidate will understand Russian posture, port de bras and foot work. The individual must be able to direct and demonstrate in this system, analyse and explain the fundamentals of the Russian Ballet technique, to assist in inspiring the young students to work towards their goal of becoming classical ballet dancers. New vacancies for dancers of the Ballet Company of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre have been announced. Due to the expansion of the Ballet Company of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre (Vladivostok) new vacancies for ballet dancers have been announced. Auditions will take place on 30 May at 15.00 at the Mariinsky Theatre (St Petersburg). Auditions are open to young men and women between the ages of 18 and 28 with professional training as a ballet dancer. Specialist Vocational Russian Ballet Teacher required to teach the first three years syllabus classes from the Russian professional programme in a vocational Russian Ballet School. The candidate must have qualifications at the highest level from one of the major Russian schools in this specialist field. Experience teaching in the early years is essential for this position together with impeccable references as to their experience and working practices with younger children. The role requires an ability to direct and demonstrate in this system, analyse and explain the fundamentals of the Basic Russian Ballet technique, to assist in the training of the youngest students to give them a strong technical base to develop in the fourth year class. The candidate must have been trained in the Russian system in a major Russian school or equivalent, have a further degree in the specialist teaching of the early years and equivalent choreographic degrees together with a profound knowledge of theatre arts.
